I really like that song [Break Your Heart] because it’s just getting back at someone who has done you wrong. And you’ve got to admit, if somebody hurts your feelings, there’s a part of you that is just like, “You know what? I want to hurt yours too, because then you’ll know what it feels like…or at least to some degree. I just want to get you back.” 

I think, obviously, it’s good to be the bigger person, whatever, bite your tongue…But this song is saying, “Look, I’m going to get back at you, but I’m going to get back at you in a classy way. I’m just going to sing a song and I’m gonna sing it straight to you bub.”
